Day Choir

Østerbro's Day Choir is perfect for anyone who wants to sing in a joyful and encouraging community. Together, we work with a wide range of musical styles, including jazz, pop, folk, and gospel.

Each session includes a vocal warm-up, breathing exercises, a short warm-up song, and learned repertoire.

The choir is for those with basic singing experience and those who have sung in choirs before.
The course is perfect for those who are interested in choral singing and want to gain experience singing in harmony.

The focus is on developing vocal technique, singing in harmony, and learning songs from all over the world.

The teachers

Jordan Jackson is a professional singer who has been a private music teacher for over 15 years. She has a BA hons. degree in Music and is passionate about using the voice for mindfulness, vocal confidence, and community.

Aleksandra Raczynska is a graduate of Choir Conducting and Jazz Vocal Performance from the Music Conservatory in Gdańsk, Poland. Now based in Copenhagen, she has been performing, teaching singing, and leading choirs (Absalon Kor, Choir Club, MVE) for several years, sharing her passion for music with individuals and communities.
